Masala & More at Baltzarsgatan 12 in central Malmö has a dedicated Indian street food menu of 17 dishes, including golgappe (crispy puris filled with spiced water, potatoes and chutneys) and mirchi vada (batter-fried stuffed green chilli). Eat in, or order online at order.masalaandmore.se for pickup or home delivery.
Naan is made from refined white flour and yoghurt, which makes it soft, slightly chewy and golden where it chars in the tandoor. Tandoori roti is made from wholemeal atta flour with no dairy, so it is thinner, nuttier and a little firmer, and it pairs well with rich curries. At Masala & More in Malmö we bake both to order in our clay tandoor, starting from plain naan at 25 kr. Order online at order.masalaandmore.se for pickup or delivery.
Butter chicken, or murgh makhani, is a North Indian classic of tender chicken in a mild, creamy tomato and butter sauce. It comes from Delhi and is one of the most popular Indian dishes in the world, and a good first choice if you are new to Indian food because it is rich rather than hot. It contains dairy. At Masala & More in Malmö our butter chicken is made with halal chicken and costs 169 kr. Order online at order.masalaandmore.se for pickup or delivery.
Dal makhni is a Punjabi dish of black lentils and kidney beans slow-cooked for hours with butter and cream until rich and velvety. It is one of North India's best-loved vegetarian dishes and is usually eaten with naan or rice. It contains dairy. At Masala & More in Malmö our dal makhni is slow-cooked for hours the traditional way. Order online at order.masalaandmore.se for pickup or delivery.
Biryani is a layered rice dish in which fragrant basmati rice is cooked with spiced chicken, meat or vegetables so the flavour soaks through every grain. It is one of India's most celebrated dishes, often served at family gatherings and festivals. At Masala & More in Malmö our bestseller is the bone-in tandoori chicken biryani, and we serve several other biryani and rice dishes. Order online at order.masalaandmore.se for pickup or delivery.
Authentic North Indian curries at Masala & More in Malmö start with a slow-cooked base of onion, garlic, ginger and tomato, cooked down in ghee or oil until it turns deep and sweet. Whole spices such as cumin, cardamom, cloves, cinnamon and bay leaf are tempered first, then ground spices are added: coriander, turmeric, Kashmiri red chilli, garam masala and dried fenugreek leaves (kasuri methi). Cream, yoghurt or butter finish dishes like Butter Chicken and Dal Makhni, while Kadhai dishes stay drier with capsicum and crushed coriander seed. Every masala is ground and blended in our own kitchen, and we never use ready-made curry pastes.
No. Indian food is full of spices, but many of them, such as cardamom, cinnamon, cumin and coriander, add aroma rather than heat. Chilli is only one ingredient, and many dishes are mild and creamy. At Masala & More in Malmö, butter chicken and dal makhni are gentle choices, while dishes marked Hot on our menu are for those who like more heat. Order online at order.masalaandmore.se for pickup or delivery.
A thali is a complete Indian meal served on one platter, with several small portions so you can taste a little of everything, typically curries, dal, rice, bread and accompaniments. It is the traditional way to enjoy a full meal in India. Masala & More in Malmö serves thali combos on our main course menu, a good choice if you want to try several dishes at once. Order online at order.masalaandmore.se for pickup or delivery, or eat in at Baltzarsgatan 12.
The smoke comes from the oven itself. At Masala & More in Malmö every naan, roti, kulcha and parantha is slapped by hand onto the inside wall of a clay tandoor heated to around 480°C. The dough cooks in under a minute: the clay gives a crisp blistered base, the open flame chars the top, and the steam trapped inside keeps the middle soft. Our naan dough is rested with yoghurt and a little ghee, roti is plain wholewheat, and the bread is brushed with butter the moment it comes out. That combination of live fire, clay and hand-stretched dough is why our tandoori breads taste smoky in a way an electric or gas oven cannot copy. All 13 breads are available to eat in or take away via order.masalaandmore.se.
At Masala & More in Malmo the most ordered North Indian dishes are Butter Chicken (169 kr), a mild creamy tomato and butter curry, and our bestseller, bone-in Tandoori Chicken Biryani. Dal Makhni, slow-cooked black lentils with butter and cream, is the favourite vegetarian dish, and Lamb Kadhai (199 kr) is the choice for anyone who wants more heat. Every curry is served with naan or roti baked to order in our clay tandoor. Eat in at Baltzarsgatan 12 or order at order.masalaandmore.se.
Homestyle means the food an Indian family actually eats at home, not a restaurant-style sauce base. At Masala & More in Malmö, Sweden, our Founder cooks the recipes from his family kitchen in Punjab: Dal Makhni simmered overnight, Rajma and Chole with slow-cooked gravies, Kadhai Paneer, Aloo Gobi, Lamb Curry on the bone and seasonal Punjabi dishes such as Sarson ka Saag with Makki Roti in winter. The Thali combos put dal, a curry, rice, tandoori bread, raita and salad on one plate the way a home meal is served. Everything is made fresh each day and nothing comes from a jar. Find us at Baltzarsgatan 12 in central Malmö, or order homestyle takeaway at order.masalaandmore.se.
You enjoy warm hospitality, a cosy atmosphere, and authentic Indian dishes made with fresh ingredients and traditional recipes. Every visit feels special, with flavours that linger like a good story.
